FAQ`s for the Desert Princess ResortAre there kitchens in the condos & villas? Yes, all of he units have full kitchens & are fully equipped. Many of our guests frequently dine at home. All of the units have patios & gas BBQ's for dining al fresco.
Is there a washer/dryer? Yes, every unit has a washer & dryer. Some of the units have small stackables & small loads are recommended.
Do we need to bring linens? No, the units should have 2 sets of sheets for each bed & 2 sets of towels for each bathroom.
Do all of the units have an Internet connection? Many do & many owners are installing at our suggestion. If your units does not have an Internet connection, we can install for $35 per month.
Is there a land line in the unit? We have asked each of our owners to provide a land line during the rental season. Although some owners provide cable telephone with free long distance service throughout the US & Canada, not all do. Make sure you ask &/or make arrangements for long distance service.
Do guests have access to the 27 hole DP golf course & what are the green fees? Yes, all of the guests of the DP are welcome on the semi-private golf course. The pro shop, dining room & lounge, golf lessons & the driving range are also available for your use. Golf packages are available & there are reduced fees for guests staying at the resort & hotel. Rates for the new season are available in November. You can ask us to send them to you or call the pro shop at (760) 322-2280.
Are all of the pools heated? No, pools are heated every other month all year long; however, the spas found at every pool site are always heated. There are many pools sprinkled throughout the property; there is always a heated pool within walking distance.
May I have access to a transponder that allows me to use all three gates to access the property? Yes, transponders are available at the HOA office on the corner of Toltec & Desert Princess Drive. Bring your rental contract with you (call us, if you need a copy). The cost this year for the transponder (a small strip which adheres to your windshield) is $15 (nonrefundable).
May I use the fitness center? Yes, the fitness center is located at the end of Isleta Court. There is a daily use fee or you can buy multi-use packages. The equipment is new & state of the art. The gym was remodeled prior to the 2009 season. There are also two racquetball courts & a swimming pool. During the season the fitness opens at 8 am.
How about tennis? There are 10 beautifully maintained tennis courts including 2 lighted stadium courts & 3 additional lighted courts. Court fees are reasonable. Is the Country Club Dining Room open to resort guests? Absolutely, many events are planned throughout the season to encourage dining room use by resort guests (watch for the signs!). The Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. And don't forget Wednesday Night BINGO! Relax in front of the flat screen TV in the bar after a game of golf with friends or enjoy your libation on the covered patio surrounding the Dining Room & Lounge. Some of the best breakfast & lunch items are served out of the Snack Bar/Grill window outside of the dining room & lounge.
May we use the spa facilities? Yes, there is a full service spa at the end of Isleta at the tennis club/fitness center/spa building. Services are by appointment: (760) 322-6377. If you would like us to send you one of their brochures, let us know or pick one up at the desk upon your arrival!
